On 21st September 2017, stakeholders also unveiled the band’s visual identity. It’s a monochrome wordmark with a distinctive look. It’s clean, attractive, friendly, and confident. With these authentic traits, the Stray Kids logo can fit multiple advertising networks.

To learn more about the Stray Kids, let’s dig further.
Stray Kids Logo Evolution
The eight-member band, Stray Kids, came to the scene in 2017 with two visual identities. These logotypes carry the lyrical emotions of teenagers. And these trademarks are yet to see any update. To understand these trademarks better, let’s check them below:
1. The Wordmark:
The wordmark consists of stylized letters scribbled in a flowing manner. It has a mix of cap and lowercase letters in black and red colors. The font choice looks like it was handwritten to appeal to children. Otherwise, it paints the image that it represents teenage musicians.
2. The Circular Logo:
The second logotype is a shortened version of the band’s name—Stray Kids. Within a circular frame, you’ll find a red letter—K surrounded on both sides by the letters—S and Z creatively. From another viewing point, it looks like the letter—Z was mirrored from the letter—S.
Why Does the Stray Kids Logo Work?
1. The Wordmark Is Modest:
People receive and respond to lots of information at brief intervals. So the net effort is a short attention span. Unfortunately, this has become one of the most significant ordeals for all businesses. To curb this issue, brands opt for simple logos. And we can say the same for the Stray Kids logo. It’s clean and attractive!
2. The Wordmark Is Unique:
All reigning logos share specific personalities that set them apart. This can always be seen in their choices of design elements. In the same hall of fame, we can place the Stray Kids logo. It has one of the unique and attractive typefaces. With this distinct charisma, the wordmark soars.
3. The Wordmark Is Memorable:
The band’s logo is memorable. This is because it’s unique and straightforward. With these two qualities at play, fans can quickly memorize and recall the wordmark at all times. This is an essential requirement for all logo designs. It helps the brand stick in the minds of people.
4. The Wordmark Is Scalable:
Some logos can’t make it to all the visible marketing channels because they aren’t versatile. But, the Stray Kids wordmark is entirely different. Since it has a modest layout, it can sing and dance on multiple platforms without getting tired. This is the power of using fewer design elements.
5. The Wordmark Is Timeless:
Creative artists strive to design logos that wouldn’t go out of style. Yet, this isn’t always easy. To remain timeless, a trademark should avoid trendy elements. If you adhere to this, your logo will last for ages. Though the Stray Kids logo is only four years old, it has the persona to remain timeless.
Stray Kids Logo Design Elements
Most brands used two or more graphic elements to tell their stories. However, the brain behind the Stray Kids logo had other plans. To evoke the brand’s personality, the designer settled on a wordmark with a monochrome attitude. So without further ado, let’s look at these striking features.
Stray Kids Logo Shape And Symbols
A Circle:
A circle was used as the frame for the brand’s shortened name—SKZ. The circular shape is a sign of revolution: It symbolizes unity, wholeness, and inclusiveness. These are powerful emotions that speak of the group’s core character. Also, a circle is used to stand for timelessness.
Stray Kids Logo Colors
1. Black Color:
It’s interesting to know that eight letters of Stray Kids’ trademark are black. The sight of black in the design exudes authority, power, and mystery. However, this color of darkness can also give an intimidating presence. For instance, it can align with fear, death, and evil.
2. Red Color:
Red paints a single letter in the logo: It holds the sight of the letter—K. Red is an energy-evoking color that triggers action. It signals love, passion, and desire. Also, it’s used to point to danger, caution, and violence. Yet, willpower, joy, and strength are also the fruit of this intense hue.
3. Yellow Color:
It’s pretty easy to miss this bright color in the Stray Kids’ emblem. You may wonder why? This is because it’s hardly present. Depending on the medium, the letter—K takes on a yellow hue. The color of sunlight, yellow, exudes hope, happiness, and honor.
What Font Is Stray Kids Using?
The Stray Kids font has a child-like charisma. The designer highlighted this feeling via his choice of typeface. The font for the dancing wordmark resembles Xtreem. Måns Grebäck designed this eye-catching script font. It highlights the confidence of the band members.
