Photos are generally nicer to look at when they are big and easy to view. However, you can still admire them if they are miniatures. You can turn your photos into miniature ones and use them in various applications. This practice was being done as early as the mid-19th century. In the 1800s, before photography was even available to the general public, Stanhopes were created as collectables in all kinds of shapes.

Whether it was jewelry, writing equipment, smokers’ requisites and even sewing accessories, Stanhopes provided people the ability to view a miniature photograph by simply placing the special lens near their eye while it is focused on a light source.

For a more straightforward way of viewing miniature photos, there are companies that produce and market framed miniature photos. These photos can be hung on walls or even worn as accessories.

If you are creative enough like artist Luke Jerram, you can use miniature photos in a variety of ways. Jerram, for example, integrated miniature photo slides with a wedding ring for his wife. The miniature slides are embedded in the ring and when light shines through it, it becomes a miniature projector.
How about you? Do you have any ideas on what you can do with miniature photos?
